Choose The Original Meroth Leather Bit

Please DO NOT ACCEPT IMITATIONS and "copycat" bits! 99% of tanneries use chemicals like trivalent chromium and formaldehyde, which allow a faster tanning process, but result in toxic residue in the leather. The original Meroth Leather Bit is made from European vegetable-tanned leather. This leather conforms with European baby toy specifications, is guaranteed taste-neutral and cannot harm your horse.

Please note: This bit is suitable for at least intermediate riders, not suitable for use by beginners or on lesson horses, where the rider often balances himself/herself on the rein.

Made in Germany

The bit comes with use and care instructions and can easily last 10 or more years when following the simple care steps. Please see the FAQ here.

In 1924, Chanel agreed with the Wertheimer brothers Pierre and Paul, directors of the perfume house Bourgeois, creating a new corporate entity, Parfums Chanel. The Wertheimers agreed to manage the production,
marketing, and distribution of Chanel No. 5. The Wertheimers would receive a 70 percent share of the company, and Rheophile Bader, founder of the Paris department store Galeries Lafayette,
would receive 20 percent.

Tested on real horses

Bader had been instrumental in brokering the business connection by introducing Chanel to Pierre Wertheimer at theLongchamps races in 1922. For 10 percent of the stock, Chanel licensed her name to Parfums Chanel. She removed herself from involvement in all business operations. Later, unhappy with the arrangement, Chanel worked for more than twenty years to gain full control of Parfums Chanel. She said that Pierre Wertheimer was "the bandit who screwed me."

About us

In 2007, I started my search for equestrian products that were high-quality, durable, and a pleasure to use. As a native German and an equine professional (riding instructor, equine bodywork, saddle fit), my goal was to offer my clients alternatives to the many sub-par products on the market.
